Press night for the 2010 cast change of Wicked was deferred until after Lee joined the cast, some six weeks after the main cast change. Lee himself had finished his run in Lord Arthur Savile's Crime on 24 April, gone straight into Wicked rehearsals the following Monday, become a Daddy on 1 May, and opened as Fiyero on 10 May.

First night nerves may well have been heightened by the knowledge that the original American creative team were in the audience, in town to check on their 'baby' and spend a week rehearsing the new London cast.

Then, on just his tenth performance ... press night! The whole cast were on absolutely top form, spurred on by a hugely appreciative audience to give a truly spectacular performance.
